Eastbourne & District Competition Finals
The Eastbourne Finals took place on Saturday May 11 at Uckfield’s range in East Hoathly. Despite the atrocious weather outside the clubhouse, the outlook was bright for East Grinstead with representatives in almost every final.

The Sussex County Finals were held at Chichester on Saturday 13th April with Charles White getting the ball rolling by winning the Juniors Championship for the Sutton Vase. Following 4 x 99's in the 4 cards of the competition so far, he notched a 5th 99 before going one better for a ton on the final card to win with a total of 199 ex 200, 3 points ahead of his nearest rival.
The following club members made it through to the Eastbourne Finals on Saturday:
Congratulations to all our shooters that made it to the finals. The sun was out and it was warm in the range! After a mixed afternoon of shooting Andy Meyers came away as victor in the Spain and Albury, and Caffyn Cups.
Following on from the City of London finals EGTSC had a successful afternoon at the Croydon Individual Finals on Sunday 24th April.
Andy Meyers won A Class and retained the Dyer Cup, dropping 7 points ex 400 over a Dewar course. Malcolm Brain was second, dropping 9 points.
In B Class, Trevor Wilde won (dropping 14 points) with David White third.
Sheena White was fourth in C Class & Stephen Dryborough was also fourth in D Class.

This weekend saw the City of London Finals at the Surbiton Postal Rifle Club in Kingston on Thames with the "C" team and several individuals from East Grinstead TSC in attendance.
The day didn't start well with a water main burst on the A243 closing the road. The satnavs picked a variety of very interesting alternative routes! Despite this all arrived in plenty of time and were raring to go!
East Grinstead's recent run of success in finals continues! Malcolm Brain won the Croydon Individual Final, picking up the Dyer Cup. Following a poor shoot at 50m dropping 8 points Malcolm recovered well dropping only 3 points at 100yds.
East Grinstead also collected the shield for the winners of the winter indoor 25yd Division 1.
Members from East Grinstead won several honours at the Eastbourne League Finals on Saturday. We retained the Russell Cup (team of three consisting of Andy Meyers, Jim Howard and Malcolm Brain). Graham Fell won the Caffyn Cup, Elaine Kettle won the Spicer Cup, Malcolm Brain was placed third in the Veterans. Samantha Kettle was joint first in the Cardwell Ladies Cup with Linda Smallbone of Eastbourne RC after three shoot offs! A tremendous effort when up against someone of Linda's talent. Andy Meyers also took second in the Spain & Albury Cup.

EGTSC A Team won Div 2 over the winter season and were invited to compete against all the other division winners. On Saturday 24 April, the A team (Tim Green, Malcolm Brain, Charlie Bird, Dave Britchford and Sarah Collyer) went to Finals Day at the Surbiton Range. They also took with them the trophy (the Corporation of London cup) won last year by Eastbourne, who had left it with us at our open shoot the previous weekend.
On the same day three members made their way to East Hoathly for the Eastbourne and District Finals. Tim Green was in the Spain & Aldbury Cup (Eastbourne Championship) and tied for 2nd with Barry Butler (Eastbourne) and Richard Woolger (Southwick). Following a re-gauge (.25) Tim ended the day in 4th.
