Disability Hub Club
We try, and sometimes we succeed!
British Shooting now recognise us as a Disability Hub club.
Back in 1968, the club was never built with this in mind. Over the years we have tried to improve our facilites. So far we've managed the following improvements:
- level access to the air range has been available ever since it was built in the late 1970's by converting the committee room and expanding into the club room a bit,
- the original car park was hardcore. This was not the best surface to walk on or use wheelchairs on. In the late 1980's we had the car park surfaced with macadam to provide a much smoother surface,
- the ramp up to the front door was installed in 2014, and
- the disabled toilet was installed in 2016.
We are very pleased to get this recognition and hope to continue to improve the Club’s delivery of training and the enjoyment of target shooting.
